Country addendum

South Africa terms.

Effective 2026-05-01. Read alongside the master Terms of Service and the Data Processing Agreement.

This addendum captures the country-specific regulator, licensing, and data-protection references that apply to use of the Vantage platform in South Africa. It does not replace the master Terms; in case of conflict, this addendum prevails for South Africa processing only.

Country-specific terms

  • Partner banks register an Information Officer with the Information Regulator. Vantage supports the s.55 reporting obligation.
  • From 2026 onwards card and e-money issuance moves under SARB's activity-based payment-institution framework (draft 3 March 2025); the partner subscription identifies the licensed counterparty.
  • Cross-border transfers require a documented s.72 assessment β€” POPIA Guidance Note on Transborder Flows remains in draft as of May 2026 with no formal adequacy decisions.
  • South Africa exited the FATF grey list at the October 2025 plenary.
